Around five years ago I invested in anexpensive Tempur pillow after I developed shoulder and neck problemsdue to joint hypermobility and have not slept a night without it.After finding it increasingly difficult to sleep on hard mattresseswhen travelling, I began to search the net for options which mighthelp and decided to invest in a travel topper, but the Tempur brandwas prohibitively expensive. Instead I bought an egg-shell typememory foam topper but it proved to be far too thin and unresponsiveto offer any real support.
I found Summit Toppers website andwarily decided to give their travel set a go as it was much moreaffordable than Tempur. I haven’t been disappointed. The thicknessand responsiveness of the topper is perfect to make any bedcomfortable (and it has been used a couple of times for a child tosleep on the floor with no complaints). The travel pillow seemsslightly harder and deeper than my meduim Tempur version, but hasvery similar moulding properties, unlike a couple of other cheapermemory foam versions I have bought for my children, which were bothtoo unresponsive.
Last month I decided to try one of theSummit Toppers full size pillows and am delighted with it. It is nearidentical to my original expensive pillow at about ¼ theprice.
I have no ties with Summit Toppers, butI found it hard to find independent reviews which compared differentbrands of memory foam products. It can be risky to buy before trying,so I thought I’d write this to help people to decide forthemselves. I am really happy with the products Ihave tried so far, I intend to replace my children’s mattresseswith S.T. mattresses this year, and if find these to be just as good,then my own king size mattress will follow. ------------------------------- David - We took delivery of our mattress topper on Tuesday, the information mentioned the smell of the pressure sealed wrapping, but it didn't bother us at all and, anyway, we were too impatient to wait ! It's one of the best things we've ever bought, what a difference it makes, and after suffering from a bad back for years I now sleep without aches and pains ! I can't remember the last time I got up without feeling 105. My husband is also really impressed, so thank you for this great product and for the excellent service. Cliff -------------------- I received my pillow less than 24hrs from ordering, after opening it I decided it was like a brick and I would never be able to use it, that I had wasted £20, being a pensioner that was bad news. In bed it went with me that night I was determined to try it out. What a shock next morning at 7am, I had slept all night, felt refreshed and was not yawning. that was the best nights sleep I have had in well over a year, AMAZING. A great deal of the pain in my neck has also gone. I have at times lost the use of my left arm with this neck, just wait until I see the Doc.next time.
